This website is the property of Ballin For The Lord, Inc., a nonprofit organization (“Ballin For The Lord”).

By accessing the Ballin For The Lord website and/or submitting information to us, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may be modified at any time to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit, register online, or make a donation or purchase from https://ballinforthelord.org (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

We collect personal information about our program participants, their families, volunteer coaches, and referees via our online registration forms on the Site or on paper forms. During program registration, we collect names, postal and email addresses, phone numbers, demographic information about families and participants (such as age and gender), emergency contact information, participants’ health histories, and other information voluntarily submitted to us.

We also collect personal information when one generously chooses to donate to Ballin For The Lord via our Donate page.

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about your Personal Identifying Information, Device Information, and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We use the Personal Information that we collect to do the following:

  • Maintain an internal email list of all persons who have requested information, enrolled in our programs, volunteered, or made an online payment or donation. We may use this list to send occasional updates and announcements about our program or emails of a marketing nature.
  • Email parents (or legal guardians) and require the parent (or legal guardian) to provide a response indicating permission for their child to participate in our program through the parent’s (or legal guardian’s) written consent.
  • May receive telephone contact from us responding to a request for more information about our program, volunteering, or a transaction (e.g., coaching opportunities, program registration, payment of program fees, requests). We do not make unsolicited marketing calls.
  • May periodically receive postal mail from us to all persons who submitted their postal address intending to receive further information, enroll in our program, volunteer, or donate.

We use the Order Information that we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). 

Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you.
  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud.
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Third-party service providers are used to performing certain services, including registration management, online shop operations and fulfillment, and the collection of donations made to Ballin For The Lord. Third-party service providers may collect bank or credit card information if a payment is submitted, but that information is not passed on to Ballin For The Lord. Third-party service providers conform to information security industry standards for online sales.

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.  For example, we use WooCommerce to power our online store–you can read more about how WooCommerce uses your Personal Information here:  https://automattic.com/privacy. We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site–you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here:  https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. We share your Personal Identifying Information with our affiliates and volunteer coaches through team rosters that include the participant’s name, emergency contact information, health history, and other information directly related to participation in the program.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

DO NOT TRACK

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

CCPA PRIVACY RIGHTS (DO NOT SELL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION)

Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:

  • Request that a business that collects a consumer’s personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.
  • Request that a business deletes any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected.
  • Request that a business that sells a consumer’s personal data, not sell the consumer’s personal data.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us by sending a request to info@balinforthelord.org. Your request must contain your child’s name, your name, your relationship to the child, your signature, and the date of your request.

GDPR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request that we complete the information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

DATA RETENTION

When you register online or place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Personal and Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

ADDITIONAL PRIVACY PROTECTIONS FOR CHILDREN

While certain services advertised on the Site may be designed for children, the Site itself is not designed for or targeted at children under the age of 13. Ballin For The Lord will never knowingly collect the information of a child under the age of 13 through the Site unless such information is submitted by that child’s parent or legal guardian in connection with Ballin For The Lord programs and services. Any information submitted to Ballin For The Lord about a child under the age of 13 by anyone other than that child’s parent or legal guardian will be deleted. Any information provided to Ballin For The Lord that we reasonably believe originated from a child under the age of 13 without obtaining verifiable parental or legal guardian consent will be deleted.
